Rental Policy

Driver Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Legacy Drive Rentals, all drivers must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid, non-expired driver’s license. Drivers may be required to provide additional identification and complete a verification process before a reservation is approved. Legacy Drive Rentals reserves the right to deny service based on driving history, verification results, or failure to meet rental qualifications.

Payment & Deposits

A valid debit or credit card is required for all reservations. A refundable security deposit will be collected prior to vehicle pickup. Deposit amounts vary depending on the vehicle selected and rental duration. Security deposits are typically returned within 3–10 business days after the vehicle has been inspected and verified to be free of damage, excessive wear, unpaid tolls, traffic violations, or other outstanding charges.

Vehicle Care

Renters are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in the same condition in which it was received. Any damage, excessive dirt,  interior stains, odors, smoking residue or misuse of the vehicle may result in additional cleaning, repair, or restoration fees. Renters are responsible for all traffic citations, tolls, parking violations, and or other charges incurred during the rental period.

Milage & Charging

Certain rentals may include milage limits. Additional milage may be charged at the rate specified during booking. Electric vehicles should be returned with a battery charge level similar to that at pickup unless otherwise stated. Excessive battery depletion or failure to follow charging guidelines may result in additonal fees.

Late Returns & Extensions

Vehicles must be returned on or before the agreed return time. Requests for rental extensions must be approved prior to the scheduled return. Unauthorized late returns may result in additional daily rental charges, late fees, and possible vehicle recovery expenses.

Prohibited Uses

The vehicle may not be used for:

• Racing, speed testing, or performance events.​

• Ride-share or delivery services without written approval.

• Towing or pushing another vehicle

• Off-road driving

• Transporting illegal substances or engaging in unlawful activities

• Operation by anyone not listed on the rental agreement

Violation of these conditions may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund.

Accidents & Damage

Any accident, theft, vandalism, or damage must be reported immediately. Renters agree to cooperate fully with insurance providers and law enforcement when necessary. Failure to report damage promptly may result in additional liability.

Smoking Policy

Smoking, vaping, and the use of tobacco products inside vehicles are strictly prohibited. Pets are welcome only when properly restrained and transported responsibly. Additional cleaning fees may apply when excessive pet hair, odors, or damage are present.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies vary by reservation type. Refund eligibility and applicable fees will be discussed during the booking process. No-shows may result in partial or complete forfeiture of rental payments.

Right to Refuse Service

Legacy Drive Rental reserves the right to refuse service, cancel reservations, or terminate rentals when necessary to protect company assets, employees, customers, or the public.

Agreement

By booking, paying for, or operating a vehicle rented through Legacy Drive Rentals, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
